Been on a Marathon kick as of late. Found out that you can download the trilogy for free from Bungie. Made me super happy - especially since my introduction to Bungie was Halo. Now I have begun the goodness that was and is Marathon. Good friend of mine talked me into making my own version of the main symbol, and that ended up turning into a cool background.

I'm not sure it's finished - the background seems empty to me despite the stars, but my wife says it's fine. I defer to her judgment, though comments and suggestions are always welcome.

The stars are there but you have to be on a really high rez - maybe even over the 1920x1200. Feel free to download and try, as the devART preview doesn't do it much justice. As for the fade-to-black bits that was intentional. On higher rez you can see all the letter, though the bottom only barely (again no justice via preview), which was the effect I wanted.

Thank you for the feedback though! I may make a few adjustments and put out a smaller resolution background in the future. Who knows...

I did get that, (For the record, I actually like how the text gets darker) but it's pretty hard to see sitting in a chair, which is what most people would look at it like. It looks more like Modathon (which sounds like someone doing a 48 hour modding marathon)

And I've viewed it at a 1920x1200 and I still can't see the damn things. Though as I said the empty background is actually awesome.

This looks great. The background is indeed empty, (what are these stars your talking about, I don't see any) but I think that actually makes it look better. It reminds me of the box for Ultima 7.

Complaint Wise - The bottom of the Green Logo thing (don't know what to call it) seems cutoff, and I dunno, the bottom of the text seems a bit dark. Maybe brighten it just a very tiny bit?
